Since our launch in August 2015, we have held two major Community Drives. The first one being a Toy Drive for the Inpatient Paediatric  Unit at Hornsby Hospital. The Hospital's 'Treasure Chest' of toys was in desperate need of a boost. Each child who is admitted into the unit for an operation or illness or has a birthday is given the opportunity to choose a toy from the Unit to help them in their recovery and to bring some joy and happiness to them. We were contacted by the Nursing Unit Manager of Hornsby Hospital who asked us how we could help them in replenishing the Treasure Chest. Well, a call out on our Facebook page and to the Mums in our Community we were able to fill the chest to capacity.

The second major drive was our Christmas Stocking Drive and Santa Sacks for both Royal North Shore Hospital and Hornsby Hospital in Sydney. After consultation with the staff and Nursing Managers at both hospitals. the Smiles Team wanted to help give the children who were to be spending their Christmas Day in hospital something a little special. Our goal was to fill 72 bags in total. 40 for Royal North Shore and 32 for Hornsby Hospital ( including 12 Santa Sacks for the Inpatient Unit).

Our Community came together and we reached our goal! An incredible sight seeing all these Christmas bags filled with brand new gifts for children of all ages. Ranging from 0 to teen...  December 2015

Recently we completed a Mother's Day pamper gift pack drive for Royal North Shore Hospital and Hornsby Hospital. We called upon our incredible community to assist us by donating creams, lotions, moisturisers, bubble bath, candles and chocolates to spoil our Mums who unfortunately may be spending Mother's Day in hospital. Wow! What a response we had, we were able to make up 45 packages and deliver them to the hospital. 20 were delivered to Hornsby Hospital Children's Ward and 25 to Royal North Shore Paediatric Emergency Department. We thank you all for your donations, without your support, this would not have been possible.

BIG NEWS!!! Jack & Co will be launching their 20c Tuesday in store in the month of June. Every coffee that is purchased on a Tuesday for the next quarter, 20c will be donated to charity. We North Shore Mums Smiles2U have been chosen as the charity to support. All money raised will go towards the purchase of 2 iPads for the Emergency Department at Hornsby Hospital as Entertainment for the sick children. Hornsby Hospitals Emergency Department currently has no technology for the children to use pre-op, pre-procedure or during procedure. We're so excited and hope we can raise enough for the iPads. So please pop down to your nearest Jack & Co store on a Tuesday and purchase a coffee! Jack & Co are located in Pymble and Northwood on the North Shore in Sydney.

Thank you to YOU our wonderful community who supported us in Jack and Co's 20c Tuesday a few months ago. We have been able to purchase 2 Samsung tablets for Hornsby Hospital's Emergency Department for the children. The tablets will be used for distraction and entertainment. The department had no technology so to be able to do this was a huge achievement. The tablets were presented to the staff at Hornsby by our team member Sarah Collison. We wish everyone at Hornsby Hospital a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  December 2016

80 gorgeous bags were put together for the Mums who were in hospital over the Christmas period. These bags were filled with candles, chocolates and pamper goodies. December 2016

Wow wow wow! Words can't express how much happiness we felt after packing 120 bags for the hospitals for Christmas. The generosity towards our Christmas drive was overwhelming and we never expected it to be so big! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the donations! It takes a village to make this work and it's all thanks to YOU our incredible supporters. December 2016

We met with Chatswood Sunrise Rotary who have put together an incredible donation of Activity books, pencils, tiaras, medals, wands and stickers for the kids in hospital to a value of $300. A District grant of an immediate $250 was secured, with a follow up of $250 on completion of the project. The very generous Mr Rotary Grants ( Andre Hariman ) donated another $200 to bring the total to $1000. We're SO grateful for this support as it means we can help put Smiles on so many kids who come through the doors of the hospitals we support.

A massive Thank You to Bob and his team

This young boy named Adem is 9 years old and a Scout. A few months ago his Mum approached us as Adem had to achieve 8 hours of Community Service to obtain the Citizenship badge. His suggestion was to raise enough money to buy an iPad for the Children's Ward at the Sydney Adventist Hospital by selling bags of lollies. Today we're pleased to announce that Adem raised $580 selling to family, friends, school mates and the locals in his neighbourhood. We handed over the iPad to the NUM ( Nursing Unit Manager) of the Children's Ward who was so grateful for this donation.
We're so incredibly proud of this young man who shows a lot of compassion and care towards kids in hospital.
Well done Adem 👏👏 — at The Sydney Adventist Hospital.
